Add a flock

Flocks are the basic unit to which information can be added.

In a farm's detail page, you can view all the flocks that belong to this farm. Each flock is represented by a flock card.

  1. On the Farms Home screen, select a farm card to open the farm's detail page.
  2. To add a flock to this specific farm, select Add flock.
  3. Fill in all required fields on the Add new flock screen.

    Pay attention to the following fields:

    Field Description
    Age of birds

    The actual age of the birds (in days).

    Note:

    When you fill in this field, Aviapp® will automatically fill in the Flock start date, which is the placement day of the flock.
    House name

    In the House name field, you can select one of the houses that were added during the creation of the farm.

    If you notice that the house to which you want to add the current flock is missing, you can add a house by editing the farm to which the house belongs (see section Add a house to an existing farm).

    Note:

    Each house can only contain one active flock.
    Type of broiler
    ≤ 2 kg
    Conventionally produced light broilers
    2 – 3 kg
    Conventionally produced standard broilers
    ≥ 3 kg
    Conventionally produced heavy broilers
    Free range
    Special label broiler with access to outdoor space
    Slow growing birds
    Conventionally produced broilers with a target weight between 2 - 3 kg, that are not slaughtered before the age of 45 days
    By product
    Fattening of birds that are not commercial broiler: for example, excess male breeding stock or male layers
    Note:

    You can also add Optional flock info, now or later on (see section Add optional flock info).

  4. Select Save flock.
    Note:

    If the house you selected in the House name field already contains an active flock, a pop-up window will ask whether or not you want to archive this active flock.

    Note: To cancel the creation of a new flock, select the name of your farm on top of the screen to go back to the farm's detail page.
    A new flock card is added to the farm's detail page.
